I have a brother.
Well, technically three brothers but
let's not get to that.
This particular brother of mine,
well let's just say my life would be
far more different if he wasn't around.
Just a few days ago before the
holidays started, my friends ad I were
talking about siblings.
Explains the whole point of me blogging
about this particular topic.
You see, we're all new classmates and
we were not quite sure who has a sibling
or has siblings or is the only child.
So, as clueless as we all were,
we guessed on each person to whether or not
they were the only child or a part
of other siblings.
When it came to me, I was surprised to
find out that most of them looked at me
as an only child.
When I asked why, the answer mostly
heard was "cause you just look like one."
Hah. I still don't know why though.
Well anyway. After the convo with my friends,
my mind gave a thought about how it would feel if
I had no other sibling and I was the only
child to my parents.
Would I be more happier?
Would I gain more attention?
Would I have more love?
Would I spoil myself with more of my wants?
What would I be like?
Then again I thought,
But what would life be like if I had
no one to share my love with apart from
my parents?
It would certainly be more lonely.
Well, sometimes, we see things that we think
are more positive.
For example in this case, not to have a sibling
means more priveleges for us alone.
Apparently, what we see is something that's taking
our vision away from the real gift
of having siblings.
yes, having siblings will cause us to
have to bear with their attitude and the
way they constantly irritate us even for
the slightest of things but what we're missing
out is that having siblings means more love.
More of learning from each other.
More of understanding each other.
My brother and I used to always fight every day.
It's like our sibling-hood was meant to
be driven upon quarrels but as we grew older
and learnt to compromise, I realised that
these small fights that happened are actually
the reasons to why we're so close now.
This doesn't just imply to siblings.
It can also be implied to friends, other family members
or even in a relationship involving
two people falling in love.
Quarrels and fights are healthy.
But not healthy when they happen regularly and
caused by a big issue.
Nope, I'm not saying that all my arguments with
people who are related to me are as healthy as
can be but I'm still learning how to not
take things too seriously and just be more
open to small matters.
Everyone takes time to learn, right?
Enough blabbering.
Hope ya'll have a great day/night!:)
Nadz.
